Fang Island - Dooney Rock (Major, 2012)
I AM SEEING FANG ISLAND LIVE IN LIKE 10 DAYS AND I AM SUPER -EXCIT————ED ABOUT IT!
I’ve had a really hard time choosing which track from Major is my favorite - the whole thing is absolutely amazing. I think it’s been narrowed down to this, Sisterly, and Seek It Out, but it’s all still up for grabs.
Overall, it almost feels like an expansion pack to their s/t album rather than a proper new album - which is totally ok, since it was my favorite album of 2010. There’s a lot more lyrics this time around, and while creative lyrics are by no means Fang Island’s specialty, they don’t take away from it, and the riffs are as killer as ever. Overall I’d give it a solid 8.5/10 or so.
